01THE ROUTE
The offshore reefs of the south, and the sharks that come with them.
The south is a different week from the north. The boat leaves from Hurghada Marina, like the north, but heads for the offshore reefs the southern Red Sea is known for: the Brothers Islands, Daedalus Reef and Elphinstone Reef.
It is the safari for coral walls and open water, with a chance of oceanic whitetips, hammerheads and other big fish. Sightings are never guaranteed. There are up to three dives a day, and the week finishes back in Hurghada Marina.
