01BEFORE YOU ASK7 ANSWERS
Questions people actually ask.
Diving and safety
Do I need to be a certified diver?
For the safaris, yes. You need an Open Water certification and recent dives in your logbook. For day trips and courses, no experience is required at all.
How many dives will I actually do?
On a 7-day safari, 4 dives a day of around 45 minutes each. That is 28 dives across the week, weather permitting.
On the boat
How big are the groups?
Capped at 22 people on the boat, and we dive in small groups within that. It is not a cattle boat.
What about food and dietary requirements?
All meals are included and cooked on board. Tell us what you do not eat when you enquire and it is handled, not improvised on the day.
Courses
Can children dive?
From age 10. Kids can take their course during a family safari while the adults dive.
Booking and payment
I am travelling alone. Is that a problem?
No. A good share of every safari books solo, and the boat is the reason people come back with friends they did not arrive with.
Travel and visas
When is the best time to come?
Diving runs year-round here. Water sits around 22°C at its coldest in February and near 30°C in August, so the question is really what air temperature you want on the deck.
